We are so happy to announce that Dr. Tim Milbourne has successfully defended his thesis entitled “All Features Great and Small: Distinguishing the effects of specific magnetically active features on radial-velociy exoplanet detections.” Congratulations Tim!

Former graduate student, Benjamin Moss, recently graduated from UMass-Boston with his MS in Physics! His thesis is entitled: Nitrogen Vacancy Diamond Quantum Sensing Applied to Mapping Magnetic Fields of Bacteria. Congratulations Ben!

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, we want to wish Nick (former Walsworth grad student and postdoc) and his wife Yuanheng congratulations! This photo was taken outside the main branch of the Cambridge Public Library right after their wedding ceremony. Best wishes to the happy couple!

Former group postdoc Dominik Bucher — now a PI at the Munich Center for Quantum Science and Technology — has been awarded a prestigious Starting Grant from the European Research Council (ERC) for work on NV-NMR and its applications in biochemistry. Congratulations Dominik!
