Aakash Ravi
Postdoctoral Fellow
Ph.D. Physics, Harvard University, 2020
B.A.Sc. Engineering, University of Waterloo, 2012
Aakash’s research interests include:
- Stellar accelerations and measuring the local dark matter density
- Direct detection of dark matter in solid-state systems
- Optical frequency combs and supercontinuum generation
- Doppler exoplanet searches
- Transit spectroscopy
Fun Fact: Aakash’s favorite thing to do on the weekends is to go rock climbing outdoors! This is a picture of him climbing The Great Escape at Shagg Pond, Maine.
A group paper on Probing Dark Matter Using Precision Measurements of Stellar Accelerations has been posted on the arXiv.
A group paper on Visible-spanning flat supercontinuum for astronomical applications has been published in the Journal of Lightwave Technology.
